Play Better Golf Consistently

The biggest challenge when you set out to improve your game is going through the changes and sticking with them. There is no question that it can be challenging especially as you witness your game deteriorating.

It is often the case that your game will actually get worse before it gets better. The biggest challenge occurs in your mind as you fight yourself over the changes

But in the long run if you develop good new habits your swing will come back and you will start to play even better golf with a new and improved swing.

And that’s what’s critical to remember. Any challenge that you approach is not always going to be easy, it is not always going to be convenient, but at the end of the day you will succeed, that is if you stick with it.

As mentioned you will have thoughts enter your mind that suggest that you were better off where you were, the tendency will be the desire to go back to the old habits.

After all those old habits were comfortable but remember any of those who succeeded in life to any great extent have met challenges and overcome them.

Challenges build character and individuals who have a burning desire to live life to its potential do not just settle in their comfort zone, they do the opposite – which is to push themselves to limit.

Even Tiger Woods when asked what is his goal he stated that his goal is to be constantly improving. This is a guy who has won many tournaments and majors and has made lots of money. He does not need to push himself but at the end of the day what is transparently obvious is his passion for the game.

If you can incorporate that mindset then you will succeed because each failure will bring forth another opportunity to succeed. So what you need to do is stick with it. Take on the game, enjoy the challenge, play better golf, and more importantly have fun.

If you have any interest in golf or even if you’re halfway serious about your game. Then you are intelligent enough to know that to really improve your game you have to measure it.
